Whether you are new to mountain biking, wanting to learn the basics, or an experienced rider, wanting to improve your technical skills, strength, endurance or train for races, our weekly MTB training rides is the place for you!

Group rides and social rides are a great platform for getting the most enjoyment out of your mountain biking. It combines a fun ride that can improve your fitness and skill level, with the camaraderie of a group of fellow riders. However I often get riders asking me why despite riding up to 5 times per week, they are not getting fitter, stronger or faster on the bike. This is often a case of not doing enough specific strength, speed and endurance work at the correct intensity for your level of fitness. Often group rides put you in to a zone where you are either not getting stronger or recovering enough. This often leads to over training.

Trail Savvy MTB training rides rides are fun and supportive, but also motivate you to get fitter, stronger, faster.

BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED

HOW IT WORKS:

SESSIONS BREAKDOWN:

Skills and drills – 30 min* (while highly recommended, this is not compulsory)
Ride – 30 to 90 min
(depending on fitness)

Practice makes perfect and so we encourage riders to attend the skills practice session.  This helps to improve: body position, braking, line choice, cornering, switchbacks, etc.

In addition to the 30 min skills session, you will be assigned a workout for the day. This is where you will be doing strength and endurance training: Intervals, hills, time trial etc. (All workouts are incorporated into a ride, so will still have loads of FUN FACTOR!)

COST:

1 ride per week: R300 per month (includes weekly training plan, ride assessments and progress reports)
2 Rides per week: R500 per month (includes weekly training plan, ride assessments and progress reports)
Unlimited Rides per week: R600 per month (includes weekly training plan, ride assessments and progress reports)

Pay per ride: R100
